TITLE I PARENT PRESENTATION

School Improvement Plan

School improvement is an on-going process to ensure that ALL students are provided access, opportunity and support to achieve at high levels. The School Improvement Plan (SIP) identifies the academic and priority goals along with strategies for our school. South Elementary's leadership team refines the SIP annually to define our school's targeted work to raise achievement and prepare every student to graduate.

SCHOOL REPORT CARD

This report cards serve as a valuable resource by offering greater transparency into how the state, districts and schools are doing with regard to student achievement and success, including student subgroup performance. Information contained in these report cards will empower parents to make the best choices for their child’s education.

PARENTS' RIGHT TO KNOW

The Parents' Right to Know is distributed to the parents or guardians of students attending Title I schools. Parents can be assured that they will be informed of their child’s level of achievement on Florida's Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) and other assessments throughout the school year.

Out of Field Notifications

Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)[PL 114-95, Section 112(e)(1)(B)(ii)], requires that parents be notified if their child is assigned a teacher for four or more consecutive weeks who does not hold an appropriate state teaching certificate in the area in which the teacher has been assigned.
